My grand father

When will I die? How will I die?
Will I see my grand children? or will I bore no child?
Will I die in pride or in shame?
Will those looking upon my corpse say this is a great man, or will they say a fool has left the earth?

These were the questions I ask myself as I watch my grand father fall to lasting sleep yesterday.
Oh how I wish I know these answer, how I wish they will be whispered to me.
Cause am proud of my grand father, he die a Great Man.

I agree with those nitpicks above. Normally I'm a fan of the most abstract writing and show, not tell but this definitely worked, in my opinion. Not much else to say except good job, the peaceful reflection was much nicer than the anticipated cryfest this could have been. Very uplifting. :smt001

Hello there El Finito!
This was quite a good poem; I liked the message you were trying to create.
However, in addition to your grammar mistakes, the poem didn't really seem to flow, and your writing style was generic.

Since Mkate got all the grammar mistakes, I'll critique it on content.
First, your poem is called 'My Grandfather' (it's one word by the way), and the poem ends up being about your main character wondering whether they will die or not.

I think a varied flow to your sentences would be better, as it gets boring for readers to read the same thing over and over again.
Nice poem, it just needs a touch of revision.

PM me if you have questions.

This is a great poem. I know, because I lost my grandfather a while back, as well...

The constructive critisism is in bold :)

When will I die? How will I die?
Will I see my grand children? Or will I bare no child?
Will I die in pride, or in shame?
Will those looking upon my corpse say, "this is a great man"?
Or will they say, "A fool has left the earth"?

These are the questions I ask myself
As I watch my grandfather fall into a lasting sleep today You can make it yesterday if you want this to be in past tense, but since you did present tense for a while, I supposed that was your intention :)
Oh, how I wish I knew these answers
How I wish they would be whispered to me.
'Cause I am proud of my grandfather, he died a Great Man.

Now my eyes are stinging- I love my grandfather ... and your poem!

Happy holidays!
